The Characteristics of God’s Love (Part 8) – Love Does Not Insist On It’s Own way

Today I will continue with our series entitled, “The Characteristics of God’s Love.”

We are still dealing with the 20 Characteristics of God’s Love found in 1 Corinthians 13.

Today we will talk about the fact that “Love does not insist on it’s own way.”

(1Co 13:5 AMP)  It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

Here are a few highlights from the message:

— We are called to represent Christ in this world.

— When we fail to operate in love, we misrepresent the God we serve.

— Relationships require compromise on both sides.

— A relationship where one side does not compromise is more like domination or manipulation.

— Love and selfishness don’t mix.

— Seek God’s way over your own way!

— Seek to BE a blessing.

Get inspired to love like Jesus does, because as Jesus is, so are we in this world.

Get inspired to live as the person God called you to be.

Get inspired to BE LOVE in this world.

Until next week….
