YOU ARE Faithful (Part 1)
For the last two weeks I talked to you about exercising patience.
I told you that WE ARE patient… (God has ALREADY GIVEN us the ability to be patient); not that we ARE GOING to be PATIENT, but WE ARE patient because Godly patience is IN US and it can COME OUT OF US!
This week:
I will talk to you about being FAITHFUL.
My message to you is… YOU ARE FAITHFUL!
Not that we are going to work on being faithful but to know that God has already blessed us with the gift of faithfulness.
(Psalm 89:8 NLT) Ethan the Ezrahite said, “O LORD God Almighty! Where is there anyone as mighty as you, LORD? Faithfulness is your very character.”
— Faithfulness is part of God’s character.
— God lives IN us.
— Faithfulness is already IN of us.
— God has given us the ability to be faithful, like Him!
*** God has given you faith and the grace to be faithful, but YOU MUST activate it!
What is faith?
Webster says:
— Strong belief or trust in someone or something
— Belief in the existence of God
— Firm belief in something for which there is no proof
— Complete trust
BUT the definition that matters is in the Bible. The Bible says, “FAITH is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).
Another translation (NIV) reads, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance of what we do not see.”
— IF you can see it, it is not faith
— If you can feel it, it is not faith
— If you can use your senses, it is not faith
— If you can do it without God, it does NOT require faith
FAITH:
— Is NOT a five senses thing
— Is a spiritual thing; it involves God
— Believes in a GOD you have never seen, for things you cannot verify with your senses!
To the carnal mind Faith DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!
— Faith is not sensual.
— Faith is Spiritual!
Paul told us that God dealt to every man THE MEASURE OF FAITH (Romans 12:3).
- Faith is in all of us, but it is Our job to ACCEPT and DEVELOP our faith.
- If we do, we will be counted FAITHFUL!
Before I go any further you need to understand that:
— Faith begins where the will of God is known.
— You cannot have faith if you don’t know God’s will.
— You must either have a written Word or a spoken Word, but you cannot have faith if you have not heard from God!
— You cannot just come up with something or make up your own story and then call it faith.
In closing:
— You already have the victory!
— As you go throughout your week remember that you do not have to go through the difficulties by yourself!
— God is with you.
— You are never alone!
— Have faith in God and His word.
— God has ALREADY GIVEN YOU FAITH!
— Exercise it. You can do it!
— Say to yourself, “I AM FAITHFUL! I AM FAITHFUL NOW!”
— YOU ARE FAITHFUL!
Until next week,
Isabella
